Why can't you let someone go that you can't be with?

its hard to say goodbye because you can't just quickly forget all of those memories you guys had and once you think of those memories you would want to spend time more so you will have more memories. Your love for those people can't just vanish in an instant and you can't just let go of them. You can't even think of letting go of them because deep inside you don't want to be alone and want them by your side. You feel as if you would be nothing without them and saying goodbye will be like a total suicide for you (or not). but anyways, i hope i helped!

Love is divine. No doubt about it. Human love needs a reciprocative object- it may be human, favourite pet, or a thing to which you are emotionally attached to. When we come to the feelings related to love between two persons, all your emotions are dependent on the other person. You love him or her, you adore him or her, and you receive the love and affection you bestowed on the other person which you think as the perfect feel on earth. When you have to let the other person go you are losing the love and affection from your loved one whom you adored as the best person in your life. This causes mental distress, emotional damage, loss of interest on life. Every aspect of your life seems to be meaningless.
