No one deserves abuse and so the blame goes on those men for not having the manners and character to act appropriately. The most probable cause is their own low self-esteem. They see an attractive woman and don't feel like they could get her attention in a positive way, by meeting her and talking to her. So they try to get attention from her by abusive behavior in a negative way. It is just like children that try and get attention any way they can. If they don't get attention for behaving properly, then they try and get attention for behaving badly. I would say this is a case of those abusive men acting childish by abusing the woman to make themselves feel more macho. We cannot change the behavior of others, all we can do is manage yourselves with as much dignity as we can, despite the abusers.
