Why do girls gang up on other girls?

they are mean because probably the other girls are jealous or because they got into a fight or the other girl stole the other girls friend.....there are many reasons

Sometimes girls are mean for the same reason boys are, they like you. But usually they are mean because they are just being brats. It may be directed at you, but what you don't see is they are mean to each other too. When you get to a certain age, or after school they may be your friends. They are usually scared of being teased, so they make fun of others to keep from being the girl getting teased.In the worst situations, they are complete evil brats. Don't worry, it will come back to haunt them in the future.

Just remember, you may hurt when the are mean to you, but don't believe it just because they say it. I was scared of even going into the lunch room in school. The kids would make fun of me. Now, those kids are no where in my life. What they said made me want to die, but I hung on to my family, friends, teachers, anyone who was nice to me. Now, I am happy. They are no where I know of, except a couple went to prison.

its mostly because we have like alot of nothing to do and we want to take it out on someone else

Its actually because they are jealous...maybe you look better than them, or have more money, or just a better life. Most of the time they do that because you are getting all the attention from the males, so they do it stupidly to get the attention on them. It actually makes them look even worse. You have two options when they do this...ignore them or confront them.

This question is probably in reference to a specific case. However with the vagueness of the question an answer is difficult to come up with.

We can state some general facts though. When people "pick on" others its because of either a goal oriented way of thinking or do to their own inadequacies they exert physical or mental dominance over those they deem weaker then them selves.

In the first case they might do this to impress other girls in their circle and gain status or it could be to try exact revenge because someone they like, likes you better.

In the second case it's important to note that the one they deem weaker is not necessarily weaker. In many cases the one they deem weak is really much stronger for not having sunk to the level of picking on others to assure themselves of their own self worth. The reasons for the bullies lack of confidence could stem from any number of factors that accumulate over time.

The main point here is that no one has the right to pick on anyone else. Despite this the realities are that it will continue to happen.

So to the girl being picked on, be strong and know that every minute you exist your better then the person picking on you.

To the friends of this girl you should offer her every bit of support and inform someone in a position of power of that this bullying is going on.

This is sort of one of those "What is the meaning of life" questions. The thing is as much as some believe they have a handle on the reason for bullying, there is no one reason. Nearly everyone bullies to some degree or another. Some are very aware when they do. Still others are barely aware that there are other people in the world. Simply stated, when you see bullying happening, end it. Address it directly. But, in doing so, be prepared; it is typically necessary to bully the bully back. From long years of personal observation, and no small amount of personal experience on the receiving end, a bully will continue to bully as long as no one gets in his way. It need not get physical either. Simply step up and make the announcement when you see it happen that you will not let it continue. Be firm, be strong, but be ready to be forgiving too. No one does anything for no reason. It the knowing of that reason for that person that is almost impossible to know.

Because it is in human nature to biker amongst themselves. There are many reasons a girl can gang up on another. Betrayal, love, money, insecurity, and sometimes for no reason at all. It can happen just because a girl is having a bad day
