Why do guys send mixed signals to girls they like?

Partially because you're not one of them, and therefore don't really understand their psychology. Many guys find girls confusing.

because guys don't know what they want. they want a steady relationship that has security but at the same time we love woman and want to experience all of them. So on the one hand the guy your referring to likes you and wants to be with you, but in the back of his mind he isn't sure because what if there is someone else out there better than you? you need to convince him your the greatest thing he has ever seen or been with. hope it helps...

Faulty wiring. Men and women view gestures, words and actions in different ways. The only way to know for sure what the others persons intentions are, is to state yours and ask theirs, we are not mind readers just yet.

Sometimes they are unsure of what they want so when they are trying to figure out what they want they will give you different moods or "mixed signals" in other words until they finally figure out what they want to do, give it time it should pass.... and if not talk to him about it :)

guys that usually lack confidence are not really sure what to say to a woman they like or act. so they sometimes ignore their own feelings and then do the opposite of what they actual want. it is usually a good tell/tell sign from anyone that they are indeed interested expect woman can do it so much better that keeps us guys guessing forever.

If a man is sending mixed signals you may have to take a direct approach and let him know that he is confusing you. It is not fair to keep you guessing as to his feelings if he is not being clear.
