Perhaps they have to work still and there will be no one at home to take care of you when you get home and it is illegal for children to be home alone. There could be other reasons too that I haven't thougt about.
Get in a vehicle that is crossing the border and go. Make sure you have your passport. If you want to live in the US, you will need a visa.

Your parents can't legally make you do anything in the US if you are over 18. You could move anywhere if you wish. Of course, you will need some money and if you have none or not enough, that's why you stay with your parents.
(in the US) You can enter the military at 17 years of age WITH your parents signature.
