Parents will yell at each other for many of the same reasons any two individuals may yell at each other: they are frustrated, they disagree about something, they are venting highly charged emotions, etc.

However, this is generally not a good thing to do in front of children, as they can often pick up on the tension but not understand the context. This can lead to a lot of anxiety and uncertainty for the child, which may manifest itself as bed-wetting, unwillingness to leave a parent, unusual silence or forced cheerfulness, etc.
