The need for control is omnipresent in an imperfect society. The psychological answer is that for some people who control others there is a personal/emotional gain. The majority of the time it is for self-gratification. That is usually based on a low self-esteem and poor upbringing. If those needs happen to coincide with the good of all, that is fine. However, that is usually not the case.
They want to compare themselves to others
Because strong people can force their will on the weak. Being tough gives them the feeling of control (even in situations where the power is not actual). There are many methods to force your will on others (control): Money Physical strength Reputation Common interests Common enemies Morality Debt etc... All people want these things in differing amounts. Toughness is just one of the normal mechanisms for controlling other people.
Some individuals feel a strong compulsion to correct others because they may have a need for control, a desire to show superiority, or a belief that they are helping by pointing out errors.
Unfortunately people feel the need to have an opinion about others lives and change them to their personal way of living.
People like to feel important, so they forcibly help others instead of asking them if they actually need help.
Insecurity, revenge, and thrill-seeking are reasons for why people who have money rob others. For example, the thief may feel the need to court danger, plan to avenge an intended or unintended slight or wrong, or remember a time of financial instability in the past.
maybe bacause it gives them payback at what someone once did to them.
they need to make others feel bad in order to think better of themselves.
Some people probably thing that is is an art form that is being lost. Others feel that with the advent of the Internet and instant communication it is simply a need that has become redundant.
People try to speak for others for a variety of reasons such as the person:feels a need to defend someone;feel they have the authority to do so;attempts to take control when they shouldn't;lacks respect for the 'silenced' person;is ignorant about how offensive it is to not allow someone else to speak for themselves.
Taking a life insurance is choice of individuals. Some feel safe and dont think they will need any insurance whereas others want to feel more secure.Different people are willing to face different kinds of risks.
It is the other way round: God created people.
