Why do some mothers choose their new husband over their first child whom they had with another man?
I believe that this problem stems from their childhood. Most of these women have had a non existing relationship with their father. They are seeking a man's love. I can say that probably they may not even be doing it intentionally. Also, I find that some women need to show this man that their ex-partner mean nothing to them and what a better way of showing this by not connecting with this child. This child may represent to this mother many things in a subconscious way specially if its a boy, and this man in the relationship may not be helping this woman see this. The problem that will continue is that now this boy in the future will probably have a dysfunctional relationship with women. However, it is very painful for the child growing up under this situation. Personally, this happened to me as a child with my mother. Motherhood is one of the most important life experiences that one encounters. Today, I had the same situation as a mother and I made sure that my husband had a close relationship with my daughter who was 6y/o (today she is 24y/o). However, if you have not been able to resolve your childhood issues, you will continue to hurt others including your kids. Not everyone becomes in contact with themselves by the time that they become parents. Let's not only focus on the mother, but this man also has the responsibility to care for this child, too. Moreover, were is the father in all of this. You see most mother are present in their child's life were as most fathers today are no were to be found. For the child, I will hope that their are other significant family members who can help this child grow into a healthy adult, and seek professional help. Most important God is the best help and he is available at all times and his help is free. God has been the one that came to my mothers help and today she and I with my kids have a better understanding of live. God has forgiving us of our sins and so have I been able to forgive my mother. Their is hope for all of us but you must first acknowledge you need help. PLEASE, HELP THAT CHILD IN PAIN
