Chinease like boys more than girl because when the parents grow old, they depend on there sons to take care of them, the parents eventually move in with there sons and expect them to take care of them. if they have a girl they cant move in with her because if she gets married, her parents cant move in with her because her husband's parents are gonna move in with him and her. i actually learned about this in collage. i hope i answered your question thank you and goodbye!!!

Boys are more important than girls in China because China is mostly urban and has lot of farmland. They need boys because boys have more energy to work on farmlands then girls do.

Boys aren't more important than girls at all, but the Chinese tend to favor them over girls, mostly because of age-old traditions.

When a girl gets married, she changes her last name to her husband's. Guys keep their family's last name.

When a girl gets married, she moves in with her husband's family. Her family no longer has her help. When a guy gets married, he stays with his family, and he even has a wife to help more. This is why guys are especially preferred on farms.

This is terrible now more than ever because of the One-Child Family Policy. The One-Child Family Policy states that each family can have only one child (with a couple of exceptions of course). If a family has more than one child, they have to pay steep fees that most families can't afford. In the U.S., the government lets you off more money on taxes. In China, it is the opposite: they make you pay more money.

The government created this law to lower the population of their densely populated country. They had no idea of the extent of its consequences.

The Chinese want boys not girls. They are terribly sad when they get a girl. They consider it a misdeed to their family. Many times, wives leave their baby girls in markets or in parks, in an effort to have a second child (a boy). Of the girls who are found, a few of them are adopted by Americans, many of them are kept in crowded orphanages for the rest of their childhood. All because people favor boys.

The gender imbalance is growing. Guys don't have girls to marry. I know it's sexist, but studies have proved that crime is growing.

At the same time, little children are getting spoiled. Parents can only have one child so they treat like a king. Among other things, parents want their children to be able to eat whatever they want. Obesity rates are skyrocketing.

Now people are trying to educate the general public on why girls are equally important as guys. It's hard though, to reverse an age-old favoring of boys.

Boys are typically stronger than girls. Some girls are stronger than some boys too. If you are a stronger boy, you have a better chance of being picked. I am sorry, but boys are the ones who usually get picked.
