I think there's a number of reasons- first and foremost we are designed to need companionship.

Deny a newborn baby of its parents touch and you are setting that child up for emotional problems and attachment issues later in life.

We need people to thrive., which is why prisoners placed in solitary confinement rarely survive and if they do, rarely contribute anything positive to the general public. They've been deprived of social contact so long that they do not know how to interract or treat another person.

I think another reason we share experiences is to bond and gel with someone. It's an instant way to connect with another human being and often how friendships are formed.

Another reason, is an experience that you personally witnessed in your life is good by yourself, but add another person who shares your interests and your experience has been amped up- whether good or bad. It's a shared experience now and you can rejoice together or cry together
