I don't think we need to shower everyday, more like once every other day. As Americans, we are obsessed with personal hygiene, which is why some people shower everyday or multiple times a day. It's a waste of water and unnecessary.
We mostly shower so often for aesthetic and social reasons, right? No one wants to smell bad or have greasy hair, but showering everyday is a little much. That's why deodorant was invented, carry some around with you or buy an extra to leave in your car. I'm a big fan of dry shampoo, which you can find at CVS, etc. It's super cheap and easy to use. The dry shampoo absorbs the oils in your hair and leaves it smelling great.
