Why do younger men want to date older women?

• Younger men may feel the younger women their own age are too immature for them. My husband is almost four years younger than me and that's what he told me. We have a very successful marriage.
• Most older women are more independent, wiser and have other interests leaving some space for their partner to do some of the things he would like to do.
• Most older women don't get as jealous as quickly by second-guessing that their young boyfriend is cheating on them.
• Some younger men want a mother figure.
• Some younger men know that many older women generally have saved for their future (could be a widow, divorce', etc.) and are out for 'fun in the sun.' In other words, taking her for a ride down the garden path. In many cases some women don't care and are actually using the young man for any needs she may need in him.
• Some younger men are 'old souls' and prefer older women because they can often be less troublesome as far as being selfish, self centered like some young women can be and are much more loyal.

Let's face it ... many older women are like a fine wine; smooth, aged well; a hint of mystery and they have more insurance!

My best friend dated an older women, because he only blossomed physically after high school and had never dated. His older gf did not want a long term relationship and she taught him how to be sure of himself and caring about women. It was the best thing that ever happened to him.

The old men would want to marry the young female which is a super plus for the females because they know that old men are close to dying, so if the female says yes to marriage and the old man dies then she takes his money as his widow.

There are also women, and men, who are attracted to people older than them and by that I mean 20 years and not like 60 as the poster above meant. Maturity and self confidence is usually found very attractive by women and this is something older men usually have. They also know what it's like to be in a relationship so no bad surprises.

Difficult question, but as much as I know, young women in general feel secure with older men. A man who had secure job, stable emotions and thoughts are mostly acquired by older men in general. Sometimes this goes around as well, depends on the personality of each individuals.
