Why does the guy you like send you mixed signals and how can you tell him you like him without scaring him away?

The only way of knowing for sure is to ask him, he can give you all the signals in the world but you could still be wrong in your judgement. But if you are looking for signs see if he is making time just to "run" into you, "touching" you on your arm etc, if it "feels" like he likes you, you are probably right. Good luck.

if a guy sends you mixed signals it means that he likes you, but he still thinks there is something better for him. I know from personal experience (doing this to others and having this happen to me) that if a guy gives you mixed signals; just back off him. If he doesnt know for sure that he wants you, dont let him have you. Go and flirt with other guys in front of him-you need to make him see that your a valuable girl and that lots of guys want you. It will take time, but soon enough he will come back to you and ask you out. :)

If you are friends with your crush you will notice they talk to you alot, joke around, they feel comfortable around you. They will try to make you laugh. They will do little things for you ( give you a ride home etc). If your crush texts/calls you alot and talks to you stuff not just about class or work. If they touch you , or move there leg near yours and don't move it.

If when you talk you look each other in the eyes and smile that's a good sign too.

You didn't say if you knew this guy in person or just met him on msn. So, I'm going to have to tackle this two ways: If you don't know this guy other than msn you know absolutely nothing about him because you can't be around him and see his eyes (the windows of your soul) or his body language to even get a hint of what he is thinking, feeling or even if he is a good guy. Although the internet is a wonderful thing it sure doesn't take the place of real life, so if you are sitting behind that computer get out and meet some guys face-to-face and you'll have less problems knowing if they like you or not. A very low percentage of long distant relationships survive. If you do know this guy and he happens to be one of the group you hang around with then see him in person and quit the msn. One on one with a person is the best way to get to know someone. The problem with being on msn too much even with friends is you can't see the expressions on their face or read their body language so you are more likely to think they are thinking something completely different than they actually are. How about you not contact him for a bit. Quit making yourself so available and quit waiting for him! Give him a taste of his own medicine. If he's interested in you he'll msn or email you back and if not, then it's best you know now and not later.
