He likely isn't ready yet for that type of commitment and if you are overbearing with the subject you could lose him altogether. Let it go. If you find that he just does not want to get married you are going to have to decide if you can live with that or if you want the marriage, kids etc. and then will have to decide to stay with him or move on to eventually find the appropriate mate that shares your dreams and goals. Not all people a compatible no matter how much we may want it or love them.

This means a sexual relationship; meals cooked; laundry done without any commitment from him. Some couples don't believe in the Christian sense of being married under the eyes of God, but, if you feel this way and would like to get married in the traditional way then you have to communicate this to your boyfriend and if he does not want to get married then you need to take time out and decide what 'you' want out of life.
