GuiGui left Hey Girl for many reasons. Mainly personal. Firstly, it is believed by many that if she leaves, it will be better for herself and her career. Her move to leave Hey Girl was only done after much thought and consideration, it was even revealed in some interviews that she had asked her fellow male lead Aaron Yan from Pi Li MIT his advice on her leaving. He himself thought it was a good idea as she had better opportunities leaving Channel V as well as Hey Girl and being a solo artist. It was also often said by many online netizens that GuiGui often had very little screen time compared to the other mei mei's on the Blackie Show.
