When your daughter has a boyfriend, it means that she is growing up. She is maturing and will be leaving off for college soon. He has seen her grow up for x number of years. He loves her a lot. Its like a pregnant mother. She has had this fetus in her womb for 9 months and has learned to live with it. When the baby comes out of the womb, she gets depressed. See why? Its just like that with the dad and the daughter. Show the dad that you respect him and all will be good.

He will be doing it in what he believes to be your best interests but if you don't think the same try and have a real talk with him and tell him to back off a bit.
