Giving a child the chance to talk and be heard helps the child speak, and know that what he says is important. It goes a long way to help his self esteem. It is also good for the other children. They learn to relate to each other and value each other. It also is a good way of figuring out what is going on in a child's mind.
A great way is the tried and true circle time. It does not have to be first thing in the morning but by being the first thing, the children will acclimate to child care easier. It will set the tone for the day. The adult can use this time after all the children have spoken to tell them what they will do that day. Just be prepared, you never know what they will talk about lol
They need their children to survive and keep the heard going.
It is important for children to learn phonetics because this will help them to speak easier and to recognize the words heard faster. Phonetics are also known as phonics.
