Young children should have a pet because it teaches them to care for an animal. It teaches them responsibility and to not hurt the animal and to show them an animal is not a toy. If you get a dog the benefit is the exercise you get when you walk it. You could teach it to do things like fetch something you don't want to go get. If you get a cat the benefit is if you have mice it would kill them for you. If you are going to get a pet AWAYS and AWAYS see if you can adopt one first because tons and tons of pets are brought to shelters every year to be put to sleep if they are not adopted. After they are put asleep they are THROWN AWAY like garbage so that's another reason to get a pet so you save a life. Hope this helps! (I know it got kinda off topic!)
No, they will eat them!!!! DON"T DO IT!!!!!
i would say a dog, cat, fish, bird, or hamster i grew up with all of these pets and they were the best
