Why when I try to tickle myself it doesn't tickle?

When people tickle you, it's a surprise to the brain. When you try to do it yourself, the brain already knows it's coming. It may or may not tickle when you do it yourself, but it will not cause laughter.

Sometimes you can, but typically, tickling only tickles when it's a surprise. When you control it, you CAN control it.
