If you guys are dating, you should ask him about it. Many guys aren't good with communication and don't know how to reply, or don't think they need to reply, or haven't even seen it yet. If you aren't in a position to ask him (you guys are far away from each other, you have no time, etc.) text him again with a longer text message that has a question in it so he'll be more motivated to reply.
