If it's just in fun and tickling rather than hurting, it's just part of play. However, if this is hurting the child the boyfriend must be asked to stop, and if he doesn't, must be told to do so. Deliberately hurting another person is assault, and shows great disrespect and disregard for that person's feelings. If there's no doubt the boyfriend is deliberately causing pain then not only must he have a very stern talking-to but must never be left alone with the child. However, as I say, it could be just in fun and causing giggles rather than distress in your granson. You must decide which it is.
