You both are featured on Bravo's "Newlyweds: The First Year". The show follows you through your first year of marriage. What was it like to have a camera following you throughout this year long time span?

It was more fun than expected. We really enjoyed opening up our lives and sharing our trials and tribulations. I believe what we experience throughout our first year of marriage is very relatable.

The series also follows the storyline of 3 other couples during their first year of marriage. Did you ever meet any of the other couples featured on the show?

We have not met any of the other couples but we are very excited to see their story and share in their first year as we share ours.

Kirk--you recently developed RAZZD, a multi-media commentary site for debating today's pop culture stories. How did this idea come to be?

The site is not limited to pop culture but allows debating on an endless amount of topics and headlines. This is how the site works... one person records a video explaining their side of an argument and challenges someone else, who in turn records a video with an opposing view. Then the videos go live for the public to comment and vote on who they believe is right. After 3 days the person with the most votes is declared the winner. After each episode Laura and I will be "Razzing" each other on the main topics we have gone through on the episode so the public will be able to vote on who they believe is right and wrong. People love to be heard and want to voice their opinions. Everyone in this world, while in an argument, has said "if you ask anyone they will agree with me" - well now you can ask everyone. We have all wondered who is right and who is wrong and now we can finally find out. I want everyone to get their chance to share that. Razzd.com is more of a podium for people to express themselves, challenge each other, be entertained, while deciding who's right and who's wrong.

What do you hope to accomplish as a couple in the years to come?

This would have to be a book if we tried to articulate what we hope to accomplish. We have some major decisions to make... Do we start a family? If yes, then when? Do we move out of the city? As many couples in the world we are trying to merge not just our lives but our dreams and aspirations. We both have always agreed that we want the most out of our lives. Neither one of us will ever settle and we will continue to create our future on an ambitious foundation.

How did you first meet as a couple? What was your first date?

We met on a true blind date. Armed with nothing other than each other's names, we met for coffee. Well, actually we had plans to meet for dinner, but I was so busy that I asked her if we could just meet for coffee instead (hopeless romantic). My thought was since this is a blind date I have no idea what to expect, so let's start with coffee and go from there. I remember exactly what she was wearing, her walk...her smile...every detail. Best 2 & 1/2 hour cup of coffee of my life. The after coffee sex was awesome too (just kidding we didn't have sex until later that night... Laura wants to make sure you know I am kidding).

You both are already very successful entrepreneurs. Why did you decide to venture into reality television as reality TV stars?

I like excitement and I'm a risk taker. I always have been and I always will. I learned young that I need adventure and something that is out of the box and that's how I have always lived. I'm not a 9-5 guy or any form of the cookie cutter. I do things my own way and live knowing that if I die, it better be doing what I love with the people I love.

Kirk--on the show you say that you aren't ready for kids just yet. Laura--you are hoping for kids soon. How will you guys compromise?

We don't know what that compromise is yet. We just got married and I really enjoy our life. We are young, financially comfortable, and very in love. If we want to go to Hawaii, we go. If we want to stay out all night drinking, we do. If we want to sleep in until 8:00am, we do -- (this is a joke we never sleep in until 8:00am). Laura and I want a long life together as most couples do, but how to get there takes much more than wanting. It takes planning and sacrifice, which is only good if it is something both people not only want but are ready for.

How do you, as a couple, balance work and your relationship? Do you have any time management tricks for other couples on how to make time for your significant other?

We are both extremely busy and it can be a balancing act for us to complete everything we have to do and find time to spend with each other, to just relax and enjoy each others company. We start our day out by comparing schedules and we have a trick that works extremely well for us... we schedule some type of date every day. This could be a simple phone call or an elaborate dinner, theater and night out. The important thing to remember is to schedule time with one another with no distractions. Our house and our life is the serenity. We leave the stress behind and enjoy the moment.

Kirk--you collect exotic fish! Has this always been a passion or how did exotic fish collecting spark your interest?

If someone asked me to go to my happy place it would ultimately be involved in some sexually explicit erotica; however, my second favorite happy place would be in crystal clear water Scuba diving and snorkeling among coral reefs and tropical fish. I have had this hobby from about 17 years old and have a passion for tropical fish and coral life. So yes, my paradise would be to have sex on a coral reef.

Laura--what is it like to be a stepmom to Kirk's two teenage sons?

I have been able to see first-hand the type of father and role model Kirk is to his children. My role is to support Kirk, the boys & their mother in our family dynamics. His boys have embraced me in their lives with open arms & I am forever grateful that we have a close relationship.
