Alicia Keys does write some of her songs, but mostly other songwriters write songs for her to sing. Yes, in Alicia's albums it says that she wrote them, but the writers just get agree to let her take credit and that way, the songwriters get the money when the singer agrees to take it. It's outright, not copyrighted.

Alicia Keys was inspired to write "Superwoman" as a tribute to the strength and resilience of women. The song reflects her admiration for the everyday struggles and triumphs women face, celebrating their ability to overcome challenges while balancing various roles in life. Keys wanted to convey a message of empowerment and encouragement, highlighting the importance of self-love and support among women.
