Due to lack of copious amounts of blood it seems unlikely that Laci was beaten to death. But the autopsy comfirmed that just prior to or immediately after the mom-to-be's demise she sustained injuries violent enough to fracture several ribs. The medical examiner felt certain these injuries were not consistant with a body being dropped after death. So, although these injuries were not the cause of death, it most certainly proves she endured some abuse very close to the time of her death.
