Explain in your own words what Atticus thinks?

If your question is from a test on a certain chapter or section of the book, of course I won't be able to help you. But Atticus Finch wants justice for all of his clients and he is by no means prejudice. He sees the need to fight especially hard for Tom Robinson. He wants to teach his children about why some people can have such hatred for another person and apply such infallibility to someone of their own race, regardless of that one's respectability.
