I am new to this. I may therefore be missing something. However I believe that many myths have a moral, for example:- do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Pride goes before a fall, etc. There are many things to be learned from myths upon which many fables and fairy stories were based, because a lot of them were based on straightforward commonsense.
