Juliet reacts with shock and disbelief when her mother tells her about the arranged marriage with Paris. She is upset and feels betrayed by her mother's sudden change of heart.

Romeo is struck by Juliet's beauty and immediately falls in love with her. He is captivated by her presence and is willing to risk everything to be with her. Their meeting sparks a deep connection between them that ultimately leads to tragedy.
