In Act 3, Scene 1 of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, Marc Antony initially feigns support for the conspirators by shaking their hands and agreeing with their decision to assassinate Caesar. However, it becomes clear that Antony's true feelings lie with Caesar when he asks to speak at Caesar's funeral.

Cassius
Caesar considers Antony a loyal friend despite the fact that Antony likes to stay out all night partying.
Caesar did not have a Crown; it was a mark of kingship which the Romans would have found to be offensive. In Shakespeare's play we hear that Antony "thrice presented him a kingly crown which he did thrice refuse"

Caesars will was found in his bedroom.
Anticipation
The reason Antony does this is to make the citizens/ the poor to go and against Cassius, Brutus, and the conspirators. :D
After Julius Caesars assassination in 44BCE she had a love affair with Marc Antony, and supported him in his claim to the roman throne.
Antony would have his way with or without his approval because he is the head of the army.
