If by more than one character in a book you mean more than one MAIN character, because there are usually multiple character in every novel, then the spacific term your looking for isn't even in existence, it would litterally be multiple main character. P.S. the correct spelling of there, their, they're you looking for is there, because their implies that "it" is possive of "character" also another sidenote, you should use is in the place of are because when framing a question you should always speak in present tense.
