Paris attempts to arrest Romeo as an outlaw who is banished from Verona. Romeo asks him to lay off but he won't and Romeo is obliged to kill him.
Paris started it. Sure, it was a citizen's arrest, but Romeo had a job to do, and was prepared to defend himself if he had to. He begs Paris to buzz off and leave him alone, but Paris won't.
At Juliet's tomb, Paris discovers Romeo there and believes he has come to defile the tomb. A fight ensues between them, resulting in Paris being killed by Romeo. Romeo then takes his own life beside Juliet, expressing his love for her even in death.
She tells her everything about her love being Romeo.

Paris had come to the Capulet tomb to mourn for Juliet. But who should he find there but that nasty banished Montague, Romeo, who is no doubt out to vandalise the Capulet tomb. Paris decides to make a citizen's arrest and to hold Romeo for coming to Verona when he is banished. Romeo asks him to please forget all about arresting him, as Romeo has no intention of harming anyone but himself. But Paris won't listen, so Romeo resists, there is a fight and Paris loses.
To put him next to his love (Juliet). He says, "If thou be merciful, open the tomb, lay me with Juliet". But he only asks this once he has been fatally wounded by Romeo. Romeo had no wish or intent to kill Paris but did after Paris attacked him.
He died when Romeo visited the Capulets' catacomb to see Juliet before he killed himself. Paris was going in to give Juliet flowers and Romeo was saying things like "I want to lay with Juliet." Romeo meant that he wanted to die beside her, but Paris took it in the wrong way and told him to leave. They fought, Romeo won, Paris died.
Paris thinks that Romeo plans to commit some act of desecration or vandalism. Paris is easily prejudiced and is happy to believe that Romeo is an evil monster just because he is a Montague. Compare Paris instantly believing the worst of Romeo to Romeo's compassionate behaviour to Paris.
