I have recently outgrown younger chapter books like the Guardians of Gahoole series and the White Giraffe trilogy. Don't get me wrong, they are excellent choices for preteens, but now that I'm thirteen I'm looking for more of a challenge. Some books that I suggest for the 13-14 age group is the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series because it is a good series for young teens, has looks of action, and the books have lots of content. Also the Chicken Soup for the Soul books are great reading selections. I'm not talking about the older ones like Chicken Soup for the Mothers soul, or the younger ones like Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul, I mean the ones like Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul (they have a few additions) and if you are an animal lover, books like Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers Soul, Dog Lovers Soul, Cat Lovers Soul, and Horses Lovers Soul. The series has lots of amazing stories and so many books, and they are all true. They will keep you reading for awhile. Also if you check out teens sections in bookstores you will find lots of other stuff. Enjoy reading!
