It has been popularily suggested that the song may have been either (Silent Night, Holy Night) on account of its singability, or the more British-oriented God Rest ye Merry Gentlemen.-which has a redemptive theme.actually the song title is not mentioned in the story. Like a lot of things it is best left up to the imagination but those are my guesses.
