It could be argued that most of the characters in Of Mice and Men are discriminated against, but the three main characters are Candy, Crooks and Curley's Wife.
Candy is discriminated against because he is disabled, he is old and vulnerable. His vulnerability make him an easy target for the other men to pick on him.
Crooks is discriminated against due to his colour of his skin. This is shown through his segregation from the bunkhouse and having to sleep in the harness room. Further evidence of the men discriminating against him are the derogatory terms they label him with, such as 'Negro', 'Stable Buck'.
Curley's Wife is discriminated against due to her gender. She is the only woman on the ranch and her husband (Curley) does not show her affection, and the only time we ever see them together is upon her death. She dresses provocatively to engage the men in flirting with her, although it is clear she does not always appreciate the attention she is given. Like Crooks, she is referred to by the use of derogatory language, such as 'Jail bait', 'Tramp'.
Due to the discrimination they experience, it is probably no surprise that they are the lowest in the hierarchy on the ranch.
