Greetings- The dedication in question was actually a very short story in Mack Bolan #39, The NEW WAR, published by Harlequin/Gold Eagle Books in 1981. The book featured a compilation of the characters from the EXECUTIONER #1-38 when it was written by creator Don Pendleton. Book #39 THE NEW WAR also introduced a new life, a new alias, a new alliance with the government and a new team of anonymous writers to carry on the series forever more titled MACK BOLAN. The series continues today with some of the original anonymous writers still at the target. I am the anonymous author of the "Dedication to the Beirut Barracks Bombing" that you queried. I am impressed ... and humbly honoured .. that this particular dedication has been singled out in your memory. Live Large, Stay Hard!
