It depends on how you see it and what about the book interests you the most. I found the confessions most interesting because it was interesting to read what the girls believed upset Almighty. Some readers probably just read the book for the end to find out the real thing that upset her. Personally I guessed that the confessions the girls made were not going to be the final confession that would reinstate them. So in my opinion no, this is not a mystery.
