The Confessor is the final book in the Sword of Truth series.
Yes.
King Edward the Confessor's reported last words were a prayer for God's mercy and forgiveness, expressing his hope for salvation. He is said to have quoted a Psalm and asked those present to pray for his soul.
Edmund II, Edward the Confessor, Harold II (Godwinson).
My suspicion is that the next book will be set in the same world as the SOT series, but sometime into the future. Without trying to give away the ending of Confessor, Nathan Raul makes mention of a prophecy about a hero coming to save the world from another world. Being prophecy, it is sometime into the future. My personal hope is that Terry stays away from the over used and often abused "Modern Man in the Magical World" sub-genre of Fantasy. The SOT series was unique. I hope his stories continue to be on the cutting edge of Fantasy. RSM
