What we now know as the adventures of Don Quixote actually are two books. Miguel de Cervantes had written the very successful Don Quixote and somebody else had written a sequel (under the name of nso Fernández de Avellaneda). The angered Cervantes then wrote it's own sequel, which came out ten years after the original. (So in a way, there are TWO separate sequels).

Nowadays both Don Quixote books by Cervantes are sold in one volume.
