I would say yes, but I'll admit that I'm biased by how much I love Edding's work. With the Malloreon you get the true conclusion to the story and a much clearer idea of what really happened in the Belgariad. They're just as fun and entertaining, with the same engaging characters and many more introduced. In the end, it depends on whether you liked the Belgariad. If not, then the answers no. If you did, then yes, and may I also suggest 'Belgarath the Sorcerer' and 'Polgara the Sorceress'? They're both fantastic stories about the history of the two characters told from each of their perspectives.
