A woman that has lived with 8 different men is a prostitute.
In "Moby Dick," Ishmael refers to the whale as "the great Leviathan." He describes whales as being imposing and mysterious creatures that have captured the imagination of men throughout history.
They lived as tribal groups in the area we call Germany and paid tribute to Rome. Often men would go into the Roman army for service.
According to the Bible, there is no supernatural similarity with Ishmael, John the Baptist and Jesus Christ, for Ishmael and John the Baptist were men, and Jesus Christ is LORD and God
They were men who we would call "loners" and who trapped animals, travelled the western mountains, lived with Native Americans, and acted a guides for the western movement. Men like Jeddah Smith came into California and Yosemite valley before other white men. He lived among the Tule Indians on the Tule Lake in the Central Valley. These men lived lives we can only imagine and were able to live off the land.
On page 41, Ishmeal defines the three ingredients of culture are men, the world, and the Gods. It took me ages to figure it out. Culture needs men to enact the story. Culture needs the world as a setting for the story and men. Lastly, culture needs Gods to govern and influence the men.

The name "Ishmael" (or a form of it, such as "Ishmaelites"), appears 47 times in the KJV, all in the Old Testament. About half of the references are to the son of Abraham and Hagar or to his descendants; the rest apply to several other men who bore the name. Also mentioned are an Ishmael the son of Nethaniah (2 Kings 25:23), an Ishmael the son of Azel (1 Chronicles 9:44), an Ishmael the son of Jehohanan (2 Chron. 23:1), and an Ishmael the son of Pashur (Ezra 10:22). [Scripture references are examples, not necessarily "only mentions."]
