That is an incredibly subjective question, and I'm sure many people could come up with a multitude of different answers. All and all, there seems to be strong themes of fate vs free will. Do we actually control our own lives or are they prewritten like the very plays he wrote? I also think that he realizes the two things that all humanity can identify with: sorrow and laughter.
