To get rid of all of the pain inside himself and because ponyboy isn't thinking straight.
"Stay gold, Pony, stay gold." This is what Johnny Cade had said to Pony just before dying. Ponyboy tries to put all of the bad thoughts of Johnny out of his mind, right before his breaking point. When he finally decides to read "Gone With the Wind", which he had been reading to Johnny in Windrexville, he finds a note in the book that Johnny had written to Pony explaining what he meant in his final words. Johnny didn't want to die, and didn't deserve it. He wanted to see what the better side of life was before he was gone. He was happy to help the children though, and took great pride in it.
Ponyboy said "You'd better just shut your trap Johnnycakes, because you ain't wanted at home neither." to Johnny because Johnny said that Pony and Darry get along just fine.
I don't think it said in the book....
yes i wonce was a small lad said the strange man
That is not in my book of quotes. However it sounds like an Oscar Wilde remark to me.
The quote "You gotta get even with them Socs for Johnny" is spoken by Ponyboy Curtis in S.E. Hinton's novel The Outsiders. This line reflects Ponyboy's feelings of anger and grief after the death of his friend Johnny Cade. It highlights the ongoing conflict between the Greasers and the Socs, emphasizing the themes of revenge and loyalty within the story.
In about the middle of the book, Stanley says 'trololol'. This is a great friendship quote because I said so
he was always shy around girls and people and it said in the book that he was always shy
