Earth is our planet, and it's unlikely that any group in our lifetime is going to be sufficiently advanced as to locate another suitable planet in another solar system--and construct a space craft capable of getting them there. Therefore, if man abuses Earth to the point that pollution or other man-made poisons destroy the special benefits on this planet that enable Earthlings to thrive here, then, with no other place to go, the inhabitants of this planet are up the creek with no paddle and no alternative living arrangements.

science has taken man away from nature
Man's Place in Nature was created in 1863.
The gods and goddesses of the Greeks were alike forces of nature, they simply were, they did not abuse their power in any way that was against that nature. Just as a storm can not be good or evil, or a earthquake is a reward or punishment.
There is every possiblity that this might be the case. However it is more than likely that the man will show his position in the family by his abusive behavior. Man by his very nature has always been the head of the family, or by his strength he can dominate those who are weaker than himself. When someone who is stronger in will and bodily strength comes along, the one abusing is in fear of being abused and turns tail.
Because it is trying to impose your will through physical force... that's what abuse *is.*
