Scrooge showed a dramatic change in his attitudes as ray of emotions are shining from him,
"his legs trembled beneath him"
From this isolated, alienated, inhuman character strong emotions of fear are being released from him.

Scrooge's life on the religious road begins,
"Scrooge bent down upon his knee."
Through this praying related position he is presenting respect upon the ghost in an implicit, religious way.
ATTITUDE
Scrooge has a very optimistic attitude as the ghost approches him,
"Lead on!"
This shows a shocking change in the character as he is eagre to be enlighted upon the future.

The spirit never speaks but Scrooge seems to understand it through assumptions from his experiences and through rhetorical questions. Even when this tale is done in a satirical nature, this spirit has always retained its original look due to it representing what the future will be if Scrooge does not make personal changes.
