But he failed with all of them. Jonathan was loyal but he never loved valentine and jace was too caring and not loyal enough. Jace and clary both turned against their father using there rare talents. (Clary with runes, and jace with enhanced 'shadowhunter powers') Jace and clary are not related.

This does happen. Jace was only trying to find a love life thats not with Clary, since at the time they were siblings. He didn't actually love her. Aline was only seeing if he was her type. He wasn't. She's now a lesbian (As of City of Lost Souls). Clary was still in love with Jace, and was heart-broken when she saw them. :-)
