In Jonathan Swift's "Gulliver's Travels," the English are depicted as proud, arrogant, and full of self-importance. Gulliver encounters this portrayal through his interactions with absurd and exaggerated characters in the novel. Swift uses satire to criticize various aspects of English society and human nature.
The king's reaction to Gulliver's account of English society suggests that the Brobdingnagians value simplicity, rationality, and practicality over the complex and deceitful ways of the English society. It also shows that the Brobdingnagians are more concerned with the well-being and happiness of their people rather than material wealth or power.
Gulliver's Travels/Tales (I'm not sure!) :)
The little people in Gulliver's Travels were called Lilliputs.
Assuming that you're referring to the king of Brobdingnag... Gulliver tries to impress the giant king with his explanations of English society at the time. However, the king finds Gulliver's people's squabbles petty and pointless. Gulliver then uses his trump card: gunpowder. The king is immediately horrified with the invention because it takes so many lives with such little effort. He calls Gulliver and the English people vile scum, for Brobdingnagians, being giants, are far less concerned with the petty problems of the smaller humans, just as Gulliver thought the tiny Lilliputians were a petty people. The king of Brobdingnag was used by Jonathan Swift to show a different, cynical perspective on what humans consider important issues and ideals.
Gulliver starts the story in England but leaves on a ship. Through a series of accidents, Gulliver arrives at Lilliput, an island of people 6" tall c. That is where he went first
The people of Lilliput constructed a wagon pulled by 300 horses to transport Gulliver to their metropolis. This was done because Gulliver's size made it impossible for him to travel by foot.
Lilliputians were tiny (6 inches tall) people invented by Jonathon Swift in his novel Gulliver's Travels to represent and ridicule the pettiness of English customs.
Gulliver, from Jonathan Swift's novel "Gulliver's Travels", visited the land of Lilliput where he encountered tiny people who were six inches tall.
Gulliver ....he was in Lilliput.
