What do the cratchets have that Scrooge doesnt?

They represent the majority of the population in the time, hard working and not well off.

The Cratchits represent a moral. You don't have to be rich to be happy, basically. Scrooge is rich, but he's lonely and isolated, so consequently, he isn't happy. But there you have the Cratchits, who are poor, do hard work, are burdened by the sadness of their son being a cripple, and are still happy. Because they are together, they have each other. when watching them, Scrooge realises what he's been missing out on, begins to understand why Christmas matters even to poor people, and also starts to regret the stinginess and cold-nature he shows to his clerk. Since the whole book is effectively about the infamous misers journey of self-discovery, he learns from the characters he witnesses, when he sees the Cratchits, it softens him to the poor.

Scrooge's home was originally Jacob Marley's town house and was thought to be of high value. Scrooge rented most of this out as apartments and the cellar was a wine merchants.
