In "The Tell-Tale Heart," the narrator wants to convince the reader of his sanity and justify his decision to murder the old man. He seeks to prove his meticulous planning and calm demeanor in carrying out the crime, despite his increasing guilt and paranoia. Ultimately, he hopes to show that his actions were reasonable and justified.
It means "giving information (often which a person would not wish to be known)" Example: the telltale signs of guilt - from dictionary.com ----- Like when you were kids (For example) and you secretly ate the last piece of cake secretly but your brother found out annd went straight of to your parents telling on you. A tell tale is a person that likes to tell on you to parents teachers etc. ----- That's more of a tattle tale. There was a rhyme when I was a kid, Tattle tale, tattle tale you smell. Ok, it doesn't rhyme but we sung it to someone who ratted us out for doing something silly. Tell-tale is more like a sign not a direct statement, like a tell in poker. It's a sign someone reads from body language, for example, that tells them something about you that you don't want them to know. Or like the Tell-tale Heart by Poe, no one else hears the heart beating, but the guilty man can't stop hearing it, the beating is a tell-tale of his own guilt.
He or she will start being playfull & will want to play with you & miight waggg her/ his tale.
Tell them that you love them! That she is the only girl you need and you want you want her heart for you and only your heart.
you need to tell your care taker and tell your doctor. it could be serious it could not.
why you
if you did it by acsedent you should tell your mum. if you cant talk to her thain tell someonne you can trust and think about what you want to do! if you want to keep it love it with all your heart. it is the only way x
Well, if it is the love of your life, why woldn't you want to be with them? But if you do there is no way to tell them without hurting them, so just let your heart do the talking and tell the truth because there has to be a good reason why you don't want to be with the love of your life!
Irony occurs when the author admits that he killed the old man but tries to convince the reader that he is not mad.
yes please
Before you get married, the mayor will tell you about the tale of the blue bird because to purpose you need a blue feather. One Morning he will knock on your door and ask you if you want to get married. Then you will go up the mountain and get a blue bird's feather AKA the blue feather.
Compare "The Red Room" by H.G.Wells and "The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe. In my essay I will be explaining the comparison of the two short stories "The Red Room" by H.G.Wells and "The Tell-Tale heart by Edgar Allan Poe.I think the story The Red Room is strange but tense and builds the tension up superbly. This is in comparison to The Tell-Tale Heart because both stories have moments of excruciating excitement which just makes you want to read on and on and finish the story. Also, both stories have a psychological comparison because you have to have a good imagination to picture things like what sex the characters are, picture the scenes and possibly even become the characters in your head and feel what they feel, think what they think. In the stories, you can read them over and over again and create at least twenty different stories each time. There is one main difference in the two poems that being that there is a murder committed in The Tell-Tale Heart and the extreme action is contained within the mind.In my essay I will be looking and concentrating more on the main comparisons of the stories. Also, the two stories have a gothic genre, which was well appreciated but sometimes controversial in Victorian times because of some stories containing supernatural abilities and mystery. The Red Room's structure is based on indented paragraphs, every time a new paragraph is created, new suspense and tensity is created too.Suspense is created at the start of The Red Room when the narrator is actually confident but towards the middle and the end, he gets extremely cautious and afraid as he approaches the notorious red room. The suspense gets even greater when the narrator gets to the door of the red room."I entered, closed the door behind me at once, turned the key I found in the lock within, and stood with the candle held aloft, surveying the scene of my vigil the great red room of Lorraine Castle, in which the young Duke had died."This is when the tension of the narrator starts to boil over when he starts to enter and explore the room and he suddenly develops psychological problems. This is because the evidence of the story suggests that the narrators mind starts playing tricks on him.
Tell her she is beautiful and perfect. Sometimes i girl just doesn't want to be with that boy.
