Tom couldn't have done it because Mr. Heck Tate said her injuries were to her right side, which would have meant that the person would of had to of been left handed. And Tom's left hand is mutilated from a cotton picking accident. Atticus had Mr. Bob Ewell sign his name and he signed it with his left hand. So, Mr. Bob Ewell had to of done it.
He's guilty, but the evidence clearly shows he didn't do it. Judge Taylor claims him not guilty though.
Not guilty, Jem has been following the case intently and knows the rational verdict would be guilty as there is reasonable doubt about Tom Robinson perpetrating the crime
If the prosecutors have exculpatory evidence they must turn it over to the defense. Exculpatory evidence is evidence that shows that the defendant is not guilty or would help in his defense, A motion for exculpatory evidence is a defense motion asking the judge to order the prosecutors to turn such evidence over to the defense.
Tom Robinson was found guilty in Chapter 21 of Harper Lee's novel "To Kill a Mockingbird".
not to feel guilty and to find evidence to prove you are guilty
Yes, if the defendant says and shows he/she is guilty.
No, but the jury in the courtroom couldn't let a black person be innocent in front of a white person even if all the evidence points the other way.
In "To Kill a Mockingbird," Atticus Finch's defense of Tom Robinson to the jury might be considered a counterclaim to the prosecution's argument that Tom is guilty of assaulting Mayella Ewell. Atticus argues that the evidence points to Tom's innocence and that racial prejudice is clouding the judgment of the jury.
Jem predicts that Atticus and Tom will win the case and Tom will be found not guilty because of the evidence that proves he is innocent
The jury finds Tom Robinson guilty of raping Mayella Ewell. Tom Robinson was innocent, but because Robert "Bob" Ewell knew that no one (the white populace) would believe Robinson, (and that Ewell made up a "convincing" testimony about Tom Robinson raping Mayella), the jury found Robinson guilty of all charges despite the fact that it was obvious he was innocent. The verdict was that he was guilty, and was sentenced to death.
Juvenile judge find me guilty no evidence just one the victim Asia but the victim witness said he wasn't me
"Circumstantial evidence" is indirect evidence. It relates to a series of facts other than the particular fact to be proved. Tom was proven guilty due to two eye-witnesses with very little credibility; however it can still be counted as direct evidence. There is much circumstantial evidence for Tom Robinson, such as the fact that his left arm is useless and that, through deduction, we can conclude that Mayella Ewell was beaten by a left-handed person.
