This book is about two men named George and Lennie who travel together during the great depression. when they go to there new job they meet this guy curly who thinks he is the "tough guy in the barn". so curly tries to beat up Lennie but that doesn't work because Lennie breaks curly's hand. then curlys wife comes in the barn a little later in the story and Lennie starts to pet her hair and he cant stop so she starts to shout and fidget and curly doesn't no any better so he hangs on to her and accidentaly snaps! he neck. curly find out but Lennie ran away George finds Lennie and tells him all about the fantasy place that they are going to and George shoots Lennie in the back of the head.
