From what Scout tells us, Boo Radley seems reclusive and mysterious, with rumors and stories circulating about him. He is portrayed as a figure of fear and intrigue in the neighborhood, as well as someone who may be misunderstood and misrepresented by others. Scout's impressions suggest that Boo Radley is an enigmatic character with a complex reputation.
Atticus tells Scout very little about the Radley house, as he wants to respect the privacy of the reclusive Radley family. He also wishes to instill in Scout a sense of empathy and understanding for others' perspectives. Atticus encourages Scout to be compassionate and respectful towards Boo Radley and his family.
Jem tells Scout that when he returned to get his pants from Boo Radley's house, his pants were sewn up and placed neatly on top of the fence.

In "To Kill a Mockingbird," Calpurnia tells Scout that Mr. Radley passed away peacefully in his sleep. She then adds that Mr. Radley was a "good man" and that their community would miss him.

Jem tells Scout that Boo Radley is still alive because he finds things in the knothole of the tree near the Radley house. He believes that Boo is watching them and leaving gifts for them. Jem is convinced that Boo is a friendly and lonely person who wishes to be their friend.
Nathan Radley, Boo Radley's brother, tells Jem that he cemented the knothole because the tree in the yard is dying. This information delivers a blow to Jem and Scout, who have been cherishing the gifts left in the knothole by Boo Radley.
Jem tells Scout not to chew the gum because it was found near the Radley house, and he fears it might be tainted or poisoned. Additionally, Jem believes that anything coming from the Radley property is not safe to consume.
Boo Radley. He silently places it on Scout, because of the coolness, while she and Jem were watching the fire. Scout and Jem were so indulged by the fire consuming the town that neither noticed when the blanket was wrapped around them.
Atticus visits the Radley house to pay his respects upon the death of Mrs. Radley. Scout and Jem suspect that Boo caused her death and are eager to prove their theory. They are disappointed to learn from Atticus that she died of natural causes. Then Scout asks Atticus if he "saw Mr. Arthur." Atticus sternly replies, "I did not." That is all she hears about it.
Jem tells Scout about the stitching of his trousers after he goes back to the Radley house to retrieve them. He explains to Scout that he found them mended and folded neatly over the fence, realizing that Boo Radley must have been the one to fix them.
jem scout and dill all go up to the radleys door to seeif they can see boo(arther) radley. as they were looking in the window they saw a shadow and they all ran in the collard patch. jem lost his pants from climbing under the fence and had to go back to the radletys yard to get his pants back. he tells scout to count to 10 and he will be right back before he gets back. as scout was counting she heard a gunshot and thought that mr radley had shot jem.
